Just Enjoy the Rainbow
You are right where you are meant to be. There might be a storm brewing outside. Sometimes, I have to go slow, analyze, and really see God in every situation.
On a rainy day, I enjoy going slow and enjoy the rainbow. If I go too fast, I get caught up in the speed of life.
This has been hard for me to believe. Believing takes facts, knowledge, examples, and proof.
Everything I do, everything I say, I try to do for God. This mindset is how I am able to forgive.
Why is a four letter word so complex, that it has four different meanings in the Greek language?
In english–it has one meaning, that means something different to every person, every family.
To me? Love is what the most studied historical figure in human history taught. Others would disagree because of the emotion that other people give. Ironically, we truly only know who “Jesus” was because of historical writings.
The other important thing is that different types of people give the wrong impression of who he is. Some believe what they feel. Some believe by facts, by feeling, by emotion. To me, He is love.
I studied history in college because I thought that I was born to be a history teacher. I know I am born to be a teacher. How?
Well, I used to teach my imaginary friends in my bedroom. My parents, neither being teachers, and only one having a college degree, raised me in a way where I always felt love. Not only did I always feel love, I gave it. Because I was raised in a way to “love everyone” like I believe Jesus would’ve wanted, I try my best to treat others with the same love.
Since I have been a young adult, I have thought of “love.” It is so complex that the Greek language has four different meanings.
But one person truly taught what it meant–Jesus.
I am beyond grateful that I was raised in a home that placed love and kindness that Jesus taught as the forefront to my treatment of others.
So how do I prove that that’s what I am about? I live it! I have recently learned this. And then relearned it. And then relearned it all over again because I have memory issues from brain damage.
I have a brain injury, I am constantly relearning. I especially had to re-relearn recently because of hormones in my brain after recovering from giving birth.
Granted that the carcrash took a lot from me. But the only way that I am able to come to a point of forgiveness is that I believe if a historically documented human being could have his last phrases while he was being crucified have to do with love, trust, and lastly forgiveness, then I could go through what I went through because of the Love of Christ.
The only way I was able to forgive the person who hit me, caused enormous amounts of pain, physically and mentally, was through my belief and love of Christ.
Anyone that’s reading this can read my book about my entire experience, from crash, to coma, to comeback.
I have been thinking a lot about my “audience” because as a former theology teacher, I think about the people who I am speaking to. Because of this, I have relied a lot on other people and public speaking events.
I will leave this blog at this–the Holy Spirit works through everyone. Every single person. That is how I am the way I am today. I hope that leads anyone to Christ because the feeling I get when I think of Him is love. And I truly love everyone.
