Vintage Ethnic Handmade Native Tibetan Nepalese Akor Silver Natural Blue Green Turquoise Domed Lotus Bud Two Tier Temple Ornament Earrings
Earrings measure 2.25” in length and are 1” wide
Lhasa women wore this style of ear ornament with tips of stylized lotus buds. They hung at either side of the face, hiding both ears & facing forwards to show their inset stones. Due to their considerable weight, they were either attached with small hooks to the headdress or hung over the head. These were updated later, adding the fishhook earring hooks to be sold in free trade markets and tribal areas.
